<p>In this clip, I am gonna show you how to read these two sentences with the American Accent.</p>
<p>Listen to the way the native speaker reads:</p>
<p><strong>“Intonation” </strong>is the <strong>melody </strong>of<strong> language </strong>and is made <strong>up</strong> of <strong>pitches</strong> that <strong>rise</strong> and <strong>fall</strong>. This<br />
rising and falling <strong>melody</strong> is used to <strong>communicate</strong> our <strong>intentions</strong> and our <strong>emotions</strong>.</p>
<p>The difficult words to pronounce are:</p>
<p><strong>intonation /ËɪntÉËneɪÊÉn/ </strong></p>
<p><strong>melody /ËmelÉdi/ </strong></p>
<p><strong>language /ËlæŋgwɪdÊ/</strong></p>
<p><strong>pitches /&#8217;pɪtÊiz/</strong></p>
<p><strong>this /ðɪs/ </strong></p>
<p><strong>communicate /kÉËmjuËnɪkeɪt/ </strong></p>
<p><strong>intention /ɪnËtenÊÉn/ </strong></p>
<p><strong>emotion /ɪËmouÊÉn/</strong></p>
<p>Now, listen and repeat after me:</p>

<p>They are the words that are difficult to pronounce.</p>
<p>Next part is liaison or another word is linking.</p>

<p>The last part is intonation: we will raise our voice in the content words, for example nouns and verbs. The stress words are in bold.</p>
